The project “Digital photo archive” involves formation of photo collection dedicated to Lviv University.
The photo archive is filled in three ways: as a part of proactive funds collating; there is constant collecting of original photographs or copies from the faculty staff and former students of the University; there is organized cooperation with other archives, libraries, museums in order to identify historical documentary photographs; in course of the current documentation of the University up-to-date photographs are added to the archive.
The work is intended to provide detailed descriptions of photo documents, which will be incorporated in the search engine of the future digital archive. Selected photos will be available at this website.
